Himawari loops show recent geostationary satellite frames so you can see cloud movement over your region — useful before rain, during cyclones, and when planning spraying or harvest.
-
Open Climate Info
Go to Climate Information System. In Quick Navigation, click Satellite to jump to Satellite · last 24 hours.
-
Play the timelapse
Wait for frames to load, then click Play. Use the slider to pause on frames that show organized cloud bands over Central Luzon or your selected area.
-
Pair with the outlook
Use the animation as visual context for the weather outlook and AWS rainfall, not as a replacement for PAGASA warnings.
Loops cover the last 24 hours only. They will not reconstruct last season’s typhoon — use the cyclone archive on Disaster Mapping for that. If frames stay on “Loading latest satellite image…”, wait a moment or refresh the page.
