HAND (Height Above Nearest Drainage) layers estimate how high land sits above the local drainage network. They are a flood-exposure model, not a live inundation snapshot.

Open Flood Modelling
On Disaster Mapping, choose the Flood Modelling tab.

Filter HAND products
Use the HAND list filters to find the administrative boundary or basin you need. Open a preview to load the layer on the map. The map focuses on the last selected boundary.

Read exposure, not “currently flooded”
Low HAND values are closer to drainage and generally more flood-prone. Compare with a recent Sentinel-1 flood map when you need an event-specific picture.
HAND is useful for planning drainage, siting seed beds, and explaining why two barangays in the same municipality flood differently.
